The Simple Woman's Daybook for Monday, November 2

Outside my window... it's a bright sunshiny day. however it is not what i want for november!

I am thinking... that i've caught the funk from bethany. hoping it's not turning into bronchitis, i have a hella time getting rid of that.

I am thankful for... having an open mind that allows me so much opportunity.

I am wearing... jammies, just jammies. remember i'm sick...

I am remembering... the good old days with friends. i miss being young and carefree.

I am going... no big plans this week. a couple trips to school.

I am reading... real murders, the first of the aurora teagarden series by charlaine harris. it hasn't captured my attention like the sookie stackhouse series did, but i've only read the first couple chapters so far.

I am hoping... that a simple medication change will solve a mystery health problem that i've been fighting. so far, so good.

On my mind... christmas shopping!

From the learning rooms... it's report card time. we have teacher meetings this year for report card pick up. kelley missed straight A's by just a couple of points. bethany's meeting is tomorrow and i really hope her grades have improved from her progress report. (cross your fingers for bethany!)

Noticing that... i haven't had any candy from the girl's halloween stash. not one piece. this is so unusual. i do still have some brach's pumpkins left. i only allow myself to eat them during october, but i can't let them go to waste.

Pondering these words... "where do one person's rights end and another's begin"?

From the kitchen... excited that the pioneer woman's cookbook has arrived!

Around the house... oh holey crow! it's wrecked. seriously. i think i can blame it on halloween and the hair coloring spray, it seems to have gotten everywhere. well except for the laundry mountain range, that's all me.

One of my favorite things... fall, the crisp coolness in the air, the colors, the smells, the anticipation of the upcoming holidays. (if only it wasn't 90 degrees outside).
